What happens when someone clicks

    New tab opens

    The visitor arrives at Things To Have with your product details already in place

    Visitor signs in

    Anyone who is not signed in logs in and returns directly to the completed form

    Item is saved

    The product is stored on their wishlist with a link directly back to your shop

The sign-in screen uses the details carried by the link, so adding a title, price and image helps your visitor recognise the product.

One button per product

If you are pasting the snippet into a template rather than a single page, leave the address and name empty. The snippet then contains PRODUCT_URL and PRODUCT_NAME, which you replace with your template's own variables.

Encode both values, or the link breaks silently. They sit inside a query string, so an unencoded &, # or ? in a product name ends the parameter early. A product called Porter-Yoshida & Co. Tanker saves as Porter-Yoshida, and the rest is thrown away.

The builder only accepts a real web address in the address field. If you paste a template variable into it, it falls back to the PRODUCT_URL placeholder, which is the value you want anyway.

FAQ

Is it free?
Yes. The button is free to add to any site, and Things To Have is free for visitors without any paywalls or advertisements.
Do I need an account to add the button?
No. You can generate the code on this page and paste it into your site without creating an account.
Why does my button show up as a plain link?
Your site's Content-Security-Policy is stricter than the button needs. If its style-src omits 'unsafe-inline', browsers drop the button's inline styles; if its img-src omits data:, the star does not draw. Neither breaks anything — the button falls back to a plain working link.
Which product address should I pass?
The canonical one, not whatever path the visitor happens to be on. A wishlist entry outlives the filtered, sorted or campaign-tagged URL someone arrived through, and the canonical address is the one that will still work a year from now.
What happens to parameters you do not recognise?
They are dropped.
