It closed. The Australian startup shut the app on 22 October 2025, four years after a $13M seed round, saying it had not reached the scale needed.
Users were left mid-air. The reaction in fashion and frugal-shopping communities was vivid: "just got sent the email from the carted team that they're shutting down the app next week and am devastated."

Moving on without losing your lists
The lesson from Carted is not that the replacement must have every feature the old app had — it is that the list has to outlive the app.
- Export what you can from the old service while anything is still reachable.
